From the Simonsen Metal Products Company of Chicago, (motto: "Boxes of Quality"); these were heirloom tackle boxes meant to be passed from parent to child; this one has wear and tear and rust and paint loss consistent with its age and use; art deco eagle motif means it is possibly from the thirties; lid closes tightly and latch snaps shut as it should with provision for a small padlock; handle is securely attached; has an adjustable five compartment, cork-lined, fold out tray; measures a generous 16” long x 7” deep x 5” high approx.
