An Eastman take on the Gibson Les Paul Junior. This is a super light guitar with a very comfortable chunky profiled mahogany neck, dot-inlaid ebony fretboard, and bakalite plastics. I've replaced the original Lollar 50s P90 with a Wolfetone Mean P90. The Wolftone has a beefy midrange, closer to a Gibson P90 whereas the Lollar is bright and hi-fi and excellent in its own right. I'll include the Lollar for an additional $85.
The electronics include a 022 Sprague orange drop capacitors and a no-load tone control to bypass the tone when on ten, but rolling it back brings the control back into the circuit. This guitar sounds amazing with gain, and it cleans up incredibly well by rolling back the volume knob. Lots of tones on tap in this guitar. Faber tuners and a Faber wrap around bridge make this guitar stay in tune with spot on intonation up the whole neck.
The finish is a unique antique varnish and the guitar came with a very light relic from the factory. This finish is very thin and meant to promote rapid wear. You will see some evidence of that wear in the photos.
The hardshell case is well made and included in the price.
The guitar has mostly been played in my smoke-free house. I love it, and I am only selling it because I am trying to whittle down my electric guitar collection.
