About Bridger Steel
Bridger Steel a long standing, metal manufacturing company is seeking a full-time Standing Seam Operator in our Helena store. This is a warehouse based position with the opportunity to work at job site and transport equipment to/from using a Class A CDL (without air brakes endorsement). Come join our team as we continue our twenty plus year tradition of manufacturing the highest architecturally appealing metal roofing and siding products in the market. We have showrooms and manufacturing facilities across the Northwest.
About the Manufacturing Specialist with Class A CDL
Duties include but are not limited to: operating the standing seam metal roll former as well as other pieces of production equipment such as brake and shear; safely loading and delivering customer orders; operating a forklift; maintaining and fixing equipment; and complying with all procedural expectations and safety standards. The successful candidate will work with customers, sales, office, and other production personnel.
Some of the Requirements for the Position
This position requires the following:
•Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs. and stand, bend, twist, and stoop during entire shift
•A high school diploma or equivalent
•CDL A License (without air brake endorsement)
•Experience driving a truck with a goose-neck trailer or similar setup
•Mechanical as well as machine maintenance experience preferred
•Attention to detail; Able to do machinery alignment using shimming techniques
•Ability to read a tape measure and work with precise measurements
•Basic math skills with the ability to convert fractions to decimals
•Forklift experience beneficial but will train
•Self motivated; Ability to problem solve and work independently with little supervision
•Ability to read customer paperwork and understand instructions
•Good communication and organization skills (both written and verbal)
•Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive hand motions including gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling
•Must have stamina and coordination to work in a demanding shop environment under a variety of climates and conditions
•Valid state driver's license and clean driving record required
•Ability to work with others to achieve team goals
•General computer skills desired
Store Operational Hours: Job is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift, with an occasional Saturday and seasonal overtime as needed.
