Free Range. Start your own turkey flock. One Tom and one hen. Crossed Heritage breeds, Bronze, Slate, Rio Black, Palm, Bourbon Red. Very gentle. Healthy without the leg and breeding problems of Big Breasted breeds. Do very well in the fields eating grass and hoppers. Table scraps and a little cracked corn in the winter. Hens raise each other's chicks so easy to raise. If for 4-H project check to see if they accept crossbreeds, most do. Not overly bright but fun to raise and watch. Rio Blacks, Palm, and Red Bourbon sold out.
