Fits Husqvarna Tractors and Craftsman Tractors with model number that begins with 917. Also, aftermarket bracket kits are available to install this unit on most common lawn tractors. Tractor is not included.
To install, first drop mower deck. Install thrower unit on front hooks, then install clutch/idler assembly under tractor. Install wheel weights , chains and cab. Installs in under an hour.
This is a powerful unit that allowed me to clear 200 feet of 4 foot city sidewalk in under 15 minutes, with snow depth up to 2 feet. I am selling it because I am downsizing and my neighbor now plows for me. I bought it in 2013 and it has about 300 hours on it. It is in good condition. The thrower includes rear wheel weights, quick install weight bolts, Craftsman tire chains and Craftsman Tractor Snow Cab. I sent the Cab to Idaho Canvas in Idaho Falls and had them replace the original flimsy windows with soft, clear cold weather material that will not crack. They also reinforced the cab and installed strong tie downs (the original ones were also flimsy). You can buy this complete system for about $2,500 new. When I bought this from Sears, assembly was required and it took awhile to put it together. I just checked and it seems new ones are either out of stock or limited supply. Includes original thrower and cab manuals. Drive and thrower belts in good shape.
