003 VW Golf with 220 K miles
This car runs great with no check engine lights or emission lights or anything.
I just gave it a tune up
replaced the spark plugs and plug cables.
Cleaned the throttle body
Changed the oil and filter
Replaced oil dips tick tube
Topped off transmission fluid and radiator witb antifreeze
Pulled exhaust and catykitc converter to weld on a new flex pipe where exhaust bolts to manifold and got it re-installed. Small patch where I cut it off to remove it is still needed but that is an easy fix.
I also rebuilt the starter and it works great now..
I was getting ready to leave to return to Colorado and it wouldn't start suddenly. After removing the belt it started right up. Upon further inspection I found T the power steering pump was frozen. The pump is about $160 bucks and it also needs a piece of power steering line replaced. It is an easy job especially for someone who is good at working on cars. I had to leave MT before I had the chance to fix it myself. I was going to fix it and sell the car for around $2600. It books between 2 and 3000. I had it towed to VW and Mote, a shop right there in Helena. They gave me an estimate of $1500 to fix it. I thought I'd just sell it for $600 or best offer and if I can't find a buyer I may just CO.e back to Montana and fix it myself and then drive it back to Cokoradoby
It is paid for and I've signed the title and had it notorized and left it with my sister in Helena. This is a great deal for a car that runs well.
I need to get it out of the shop where it's at ASAP so that's why I'm just trying to sell it.
You can call or text me anytime day or night if interested. You could also go and see it at the VW and Mote shop in Helena.
