This super dependable 2003 Subaru Forester AWD 2.5 had a new Boxer engine, clutch, front struts, control arms with ball joints and stabilizer links and front brakes installed in 2019 at 198,00 miles. So the car has 20,000 miles on it's engine and suspension. Snow tires are still on it and they have about 2/3 left on them. It also comes with a set of 4 mud & snow tires, again, with about 2/3 life left and 2 Blizzak snow tires mounted on wheels. It includes the factory spare in the cubby under the back deck, and includes a hydraulic lift jack and tire tool. It drives and rides beautifully. The car has been getting 30 mpg easily, and sometimes better. Air conditioning and heat work flawlessly. It has a 5 speed standard transmission. The car has been driven about 20,000 miles at the most since the new engine, front end and brakes were installed. It has 218,000 miles on it overall, with regular maintenance since I’ve owned it and it has no leaks and burns no oil. It behaves like a new car mechanically. As is the case with older cars, there are a couple of functions that could use attention. These are: The driver’s side electric window works normally 90% of the time, but every once in a while it takes a few tries of the switch to operate it. The passenger side back seat door opens well, but it requires a little more pull and push than the other doors. The front driver’s side fender has paint chipping. The reason for selling is because I am moving out of the country. Otherwise, I’d have this car until the end. It’s a great vehicle.
