This beautiful piece of artwork is believed to be a chromolithograph of a painting done by Wladyslaw Bakalowicz (1833-1903). Bakalowicz was a Polish-French painter. The title of the painting is unknown. The chromolithograph technique involved multiple plates (one for each color) and could take months to produce. The chromolithograph technique was replaced by more modern techniques in the late 1930's, so this is an old piece. The glass appears to be original as it is wavy. The frame is exquisite! It is approx. 7½" wide. The frame does have minor damage in the corners but these do not detract from the overall appearance.
