Original Steel Plate Etchings of two Rothenburg ob der Tauber Architectural Scenes by Ernst Geissendorfer, German, 1908-1993, Signed, matted and framed. The name "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" is German for "Red castle above the Tauber". This is so because the town is located on a plateau overlooking the Tauber River. The etching of the street scene does not have glass, which can be obtained locally, measures: Etching 7” x 9 3/8”, Frame: 10 3/4” x 14”. The etching with the bridge does have glass and measures: Etching: 7” x 9 5/8”, Frame: 10 ¾” x 14”. W x 9 1/4“. Selling each separately for $25 or both for $40.
